#9 - Finding Stillness in Chaos: Navigating Life's Stormy Seas
Hope and optimism are essential to a happy and peaceful life. We all have the power to create a better world for everyone on the planet.

For many of us human beings, too much movement can definitely make you feel queasy.
The current bizarre, tortuous and challenging period in our global history is enough to cause anyone's head to swim.
Constantly, I have to remind myself not to over-react to the media view of the world around me right now. We already have wars of every kind and now even trade ones on our doorstep. How clearly were any of them foreseen by those who make it their business to know these things?

To stay very still in violent motion
Might seem to be a silly notion
But in a violent, wild grey sea
It's the best way to be.
Years ago, a young Californian came to stay with us. Ostensibly to help out in the garden. He was charming and enthusiastic but inclined to remove the flowers and leave the weeds. But what I remember most about him was a tee-shirt he always wore, with the words, 'Same shit, different day.' That succinct statement just about sums up the morning news for me at the moment!
But you'll be glad to know I 'm not deterred. Flowers and weeds both have their place. It seems to me that the human race can only raise its consciousness up a notch or two when there's no real alternative. So I'm resolved to keep my genuine optimism and faith in the future of our world, rather than fear it.
Okay, I know that some might not agree. The current odds might weigh against my optimism. But the world is moving to a different day. I've every reason for hope, especially when taking a quick glance backwards at the so called 'good old days. History can reveal the huge number of horrifying events.
Honestly dear friends, it's simply got to be upwards and onwards. Maybe the days to come will have hardly have any shit at all! Why on earth not?
