#11 - What's making us in such a hurry?

Sometimes  just doing something incredibly simple can make the entire day easier!

#11 - What's making us in such a hurry?

When we read or listen to the news, especially first thing in the morning, it's rare if we're greeted by something cheering or uplifting.   But my mission is to keep myself - and you - buoyant despite the gloom and doom that all too often greets us!

Longevity

Suppose one day we awoke
With the life span of an oak
What if we gave ourselves
Time to spare?
We could walk in forests
Become more aware.
Why not decide to miss the bus?
Just stop to gaze
At the  beauty around us.

Much of the time we're all in a rush because there always seems to be something that must be done.  Whether we're young, old, or middle-aged, it appears to be a condition that can skip the generations.  I remember my Pa, in his late seventies, gazing around the garden and the fields, saying, 'Everywhere I look I see a job!'

I know that feeling all too well! Even  if there's not a garden or a field to take your attention,  there's the never-ending stream of information on phones, tablets and computers.

There's a thread at the moment,  in what I'm  writing.  It's around 'time' and 'simplicity ' - but also the natural world.  Which is always full of beauty.   So take your eyes off all those screens.  Remember, its  spring after all, no matter what the weather.
