That's Life
The kids are slowly dressing for school
Meanwhile the porridge's getting cool
Mum's down on her knees
'Why can't I find my blasted keys?'
Breakfast can be a tricky affair
Tempers quite often will simply flare
The youngest doesn't like orange juice
The eldest cries 'There's no excuse!'
The middle one's the last to appear
Not looking particularly full of cheer
She often comes down late
But always eats everything on her plate.
Now Dad appears to have lost his phone
He's making an effort not to moan
Suddenly everyone's in a hurry
C'est la vie! Try not to worry.
Weekday mornings are a panorama
Always some problem or minor drama
Mum and Dad stay at the controls
A pair of resilient loving souls.
