47 / Perfect timing

Never underestimate our four-legged friends! Once their meal times have been set, usually by us two-legged ones, their inbuilt clock works like magic.  

You might be a tad forgetful, but they're most certainly not. Cats and dogs will often be hovering around their food bowls at the crucial hour. Sending out a few dirty looks,  too,  if you're not on the case. As for the horses, cows, goats and sheep, they'll generally  be at the gate while you're still pulling on your wellies. 

Animals are brilliant time-keepers. They're pretty good at talking too. The assortment of meows, woofs, neighs, moos, bleats and baas soon makes the point. 

They're experts at getting our attention. But of course, as all animal lovers know, particularly when it suits them!
