39 / One fact no one can dispute 🌎

This week's MIMIT explores our universal connection to earth and dreams of world leaders finding common ground around a round table. A gentle reminder that despite our differences, we all share basic human needs - and perhaps that's where peace begins.

39 / One fact no one can dispute 🌎

On days when the world is looking pretty grim, one piece of bad news after another, you wonder if there will ever be peace on earth!  How much longer are we going to keep trying to kill one another?  All too often in the name of one group of individuals' beliefs, or political views, against another's?

However, even the briefest of dips into Middle East history, reveals events there have been anything but tranquil for 2000 years and more.

Having concluded that no matter how much I might wish for global peace, in the words of J R Ewing, 'It's gonna take time Sue Ellen!' (For those who might recall Dallas, this was a phrase frequently on his lips - probably why I remember it!)

Then I had a little dream! Wonder what would happen if every global leader, from every government, in every country on the planet had to sit down round a table, with those who held different views or beliefs?  Moreover, it was obligatory the table be round!  No more of this playground nonsense of shouting or arguing across one another like spoiled children in a playground.

No matter how long it took, allowing for meal breaks, or as the US say, rest room visits, they couldn't depart until they had all, unanimously, agreed on one thing!

How about the fact that every single one of us needs food and water? Surely no one in a physical body could argue about that, especially if they'd just come from eating, drinking or having a pee! Agree on that and proceed to more detailed inquiries!

Maybe peace on earth can happen faster than we think.  After all, in less than the last twenty-years, same sex marriage, at least in the UK  is perfectly legal.  Nothing is impossible.

LOVE  will always find a way.
