38 / When the world's in a muddle, who do you turn to? 🐾
This week's MIMIT explores the comfort of companion animals. When life gets chaotic, our four-legged friends offer cuddles, laughter, and unconditional love. Treasure those furry family members!

Companion animals, for those of us fortunate enough to have them, are truly four-legged treasures. Admittedly, claw-ripped sofas, suspicious puddles and unwelcome deposits of many varieties are often part of our world when they live with us. Even sharing our bed, given half a chance.
No matter about certain inconveniences! I'm very lucky and very grateful that animals have been part of my life since early childhood. Not perhaps hamsters or rabbits, but cats, dogs, horses, lambs, calves, cows and goats have all been friends at different periods. Happily, I still have one cat resident chez moi, plus access to another four across the court yard, including three dogs, two sheep and a couple of rabbits!
I'm definitely an anthropomorphist. But I've just invented a word that apparently doesn't exist! However, I should simply say that I see many human traits in animals. It's their beauty, their innocence and their gift for manipulating our emotions. They can make you laugh. Or make you go 'Ahhh' and offer up a treat. Or a walk or anything else they're after. Plus they're amazing time keepers and make sure that we're always on time for meals. Theirs especially!
They become part of our lives, part of our families. They bring joy and help us to cope with the woes of the world. When, for whatever reason, we have to let them go, we mourn them.
Truly, they're a loving gift to us humans.
