#31 - When Will We Ever Learn War Is Not A Solution?
Do I even dare even mention war when my goal is to give hope and cheer? Should you feel so inclined, you might glance at the piece seven years ago, in Anna's Inquiring Alphabet. I've done a brief update.
But today I did a quick glance into the wisdom in my old friend, the 'Shorter' (yes, that's the word for the first two volumes!) Oxford Dictionary. It's definition of war starts with the words, 'Hostile intent!'
Just imagine for a moment, that none of us had ever had 'hostile intent' towards another human being. Ridiculous you say? Impossible? Ah, but wars don't start on their own. It's us humans that do it.
What are a couple of words that could provide a solution?
How about 'Forgiveness?'
How about 'Love?'
Some things just never change!
